Central Dalmatia is a region in Croatia stretching from Šibenik to Split. The region is known for its beautiful beaches, crystal clear sea and rich history. The largest city in the region, Split is home to Diocletian's Palace, a well-preserved Roman ruin that is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Whereas Šibenik, the second largest city in the region, is famous for its historic cathedral and the beautiful beaches in the surrounding area. Trogir, a small town in this region, is also a UNESCO World Heritage site and is mainly known for its well-preserved medieval architecture.
