7 day Sailing Route: Greece (Ionian Sea): Zakynthos - Ithaca - Lefkada - Kefalonia

Exploring the beauty of Greek islands filled with pristine nature, crystal-clear emerald sea, and excellent culinary offerings is definitely one of the best ways to spend hot summer days. The Ionian Sea hides numerous beautiful bays and fairytale towns just waiting for your curious crew.

DAY 1:

Lefkas Marina (Lefkas) - Vathy (Meganisi), (10 NM)

Arrival at the marina is expected around 3:00 PM. After boarding and unpacking, head towards the first destination of the week. Towards the island of Meganisi, located east of Lefkada. Anchor in one of the many beautiful bays (we recommend Abelaky Bay, which is close to the town of Vathy). Make use of the remaining afternoon hours for lunch and swimming, and in the evening, take a short walk to the town of Vathy. This town boasts a beautiful waterfront reminiscent of Vis town, with many beautiful cafes and restaurants in typical Greek style. The town's waterfront is also adorned with numerous luxury sailboats, yachts, motorboats, and catamarans, worth exploring with a stroll along the coast.

DAY 2:

Vathy (Meganisi) - Vasiliki (Lefkas), (10 NM)

Lefkada Island is the largest in the Ionian Sea and boasts the most beautiful beaches and natural scenery. Therefore, there are plenty of options for exploring this island. We suggest visiting the town of Vasiliki in the south of the island. You can spend the night in the town of Vasiliki, where you can "replenish" your sailboat with water and electricity. Vasiliki is a well-known windsurfing destination, so you can spend the day windsurfing, (rent equipment at the nearby Club Vass). If windsurfing is not your thing, explore the town, enjoy a refreshing drink by the sea, and be sure to try the best Gyros in the Ionian Sea at Gyros spot: Giannis. You can then spice up the day with an idyllic dinner on the terrace of the Rachi restaurant, boasting breathtaking views of the sunset over the Ionian Sea. In the evening, the lively town comes to life, offering plenty of choices for a relaxed drink by the sea. However you can also spice up the night with a visit to the Zeus nightclub, where the atmosphere is always vibrant.

DAY 3:

Vasiliki (Lefkas) - Fiskardo (Kefalonia), (10 NM)

On the third day, continue your journey southward towards the island of Kefalonia to the town of Fiskardo, often referred to as the Monte Carlo of the Ionian Sea. Fiskardo is a slightly larger town full of colorful houses overlooking the bay that surrounds the town. The town is full of narrow cobblestone streets hiding unforgettable culinary experiences and charming local bars. Anchor your sailboat in the bay, tie up to the shore, and head out to see the many luxury yachts and sailboats in the harbor.
